The Ohio State University has a Microsoft Campus Agreement for a suite of software for use by faculty and staff on OSU-owned equipment. Campus Agreement software is distributed as a license subscription, with the current contract period ending on June 30, 2010. The agreement also includes a Microsoft Select agreement for departmental purchase of Microsoft products not in the Campus Agreement, such as Project, Visio, etc. The Select agreement is a 3-year agreement, which extends from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2010. See contacts for the reseller for purchase of products at academic pricing on the Select agreement. Faculty, staff and students may also purchase selected titles of Microsoft software on the Personal Use Program with their own funds. Personal Use Program software includes a perpetual license at the version level purchased, but does not include upgrades. The Personal-Use licenses may only be used on your owned computer, not on OSU equipment.
The Microsoft Campus Agreement gives OSU faculty and staff access to Microsoft's popular computer software, including operating systems and desktop productivity tools for use on OSU equipment and on one personally-owned home computer for OSU business use (see faculty and staff under the Agreement tab). Version upgrades are available for the Campus Agreement software (departmental copies) during the subscription period. Funding for the Campus Agreement software is done through a campus-wide assessment to the colleges. There are no license fees to individual faculty and staff for the Campus Agreement software, except for the media fees for any media needed. All Campus Agreement software is distributed at UniPrint at Tuttle Park Place, 2055 Millikin Way. NOTE: Software obtained by a student on the expired Buckeye Bundle 2 agreement is a subscription copy and must be removed from their machine unless the student graduated from OSU by June 30, 2007 and requested a permanent license for their copy at the Tuttle UniPrint location at 2055 Millikin Way.
