SOFTWARE: MathWorks Release 2008a (MATLAB Version 7.6 for Sun Solaris, Linux, MacOS X and Windows) on Campuswide License
DESCRIPTION: MATLAB is an integrated technical computing environment that combines numeric computation, advanced graphics and visualization, and a high-level programming language. A campuswide site license was obtained in November of 2005 through a cost sharing collaboration of the College of Engineering, the Ohio Supercomputer Center and the Office of Information Technology. For the current school year, the standard configuration of toolboxes is also available for student personal computer use with the exception of the Parallel Computing Toolbox.
NOTE: Beginning with R2008a, the MATLAB and Simulink product families require activation. Please see the following link for more information on this process:
http://www.mathworks.com/support/activation/index.html
Release 2008a includes updates to MATLAB and Simulink, several of the toolboxes OSU licenses and bug fixes to most of the OSU licensed products.
Included in the OSU Standard Configuration of toolboxes for Release 2008a in addition to MATLAB 7.6 and Simulink 7.1 are:
* - Only available for Windows 32-bit.
** - Purchased by OSC for use campuswide, previously called "Distributed Computing Toolbox"
*** - Purchased by Math and Physical Sciences for use campuswide.
For the list of enhancements including all enhancements to toolboxes after starting MATLAB, please see "Product Help", then "Release Notes" under the Contents tab. Release Notes are also at
