SOFTWARE: Apple Mac OS X 10.5
DESCRIPTION: This is the latest version of the Macintosh operating system software. It is made available on a volume purchase obtained by the Office of Information Technology. This announces the availability of the software on DVD media from OIT Customer Services.
Mac OS 10.5 includes new features, such as:
- Use Spaces to group your application windows and reduce clutter.
- Finder uses Cover Flow to display each file as a large preview of its first page, and you can click through multipage documents or play movies.
- Time Machine keeps an up-to-date copy of everything on your Mac- digital photos, music, movies, TV shows, and documents. This allows you to easily go back in time to recover anything.
These and many more new features are described on the DVD media. In the initial splash screen go to the Instructions folder and then "Welcome to Leopard".
