SOFTWARE: Gaussian 03 for Unix, Macintosh and Linux Revision E.01
Description: Gaussian is a program for computational chemistry.
It uses electronic structure modeling to investigate chemical
phenomena. As noted in "Gaussian 03 User's Reference", it can
predict properties of molecules and reactions, including:
- Molecular energies and structures
- Energies and structures of transition states
- Bond and reaction energies
- Orbitals
- Vibrational frequencies
- Thermochemical properties
- Reaction pathways
- g tensors and other tensors of hyperfine spectra
and many other computations. These computations are useful in the
fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, physics,
materials science, pharmacy, medical areas and others for
research in established and emerging areas of chemical interest.
You can read about the new features and functional changes to
Revision E.01 in the Release Notes. These are also available at
http://www.gaussian.com/g_tech/g03_rel.htm
The Gaussian Unix campuswide license was obtained through a cost
sharing collaboration between the departments of Chemistry and
Molecular & Cellular Biochemistry, the college of Pharmacy and
OIT.
