Development Fund Warehouse (DFW)
Course Description:
This course shows how to use the Development Fund Warehouse (DFW), a web-based system that displays data on endowment and gift funds. DFW brings together information from Development, Treasurer's Office, Student Financial Aid and General Ledger databases. If you are responsible for a donor-supported fund, you will find this system useful.
A "Permission Request form" must be completed in order to receive access to the Development Fund Warehouse (see "Prerequisites" below for a link to the form).
There are two levels of information access in DWF: financial information and scholarship recipient information. Access to the scholarship information requires training in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act of 1999. This training is included in the course.
Not all users will need both levels of information; however the permission request form covers both. Students should submit the form prior to attending the class, leaving the Gramm-Leach-Bliley section blank if necessary. The forms will be made available during class to allow students to update this section.
